Upcycle with Sizzix: Techniques and Ideas for using Sizzix Die-Cutting and Embossing Machines - Creative Ways to Repurpose and Reuse Just about Anything

Dear Fellow Crafters,

While browsing one of my favorite craft sites, I stumbled upon the news that Sizzix had published a new book. The title intrigued me – “Upcycle with Sizzix.” I looked it up on Amazon and the book was not available on Kindle (as of Feb. 2015), so I checked out Barnes and Noble. Lo and behold the book was available for purchase. So I ordered it and it arrived several days later.

The book is richly packed with photos, illustrations and ideas for all types of crafters. Although the book is not a tutorial, the ideas using “found elements” are presented with detailed material lists and hints.

Some of the re-cycled materials are: magazine pages, maps, sewing spools, old greeting cards and aluminum.

The 143 page book is divided into ideas for Home Décor, Accessories, Gift Giving and Entertaining. If you are an owner of a Sizzix and you love idea books than by this book!

It is classified as an all-in-one glue, sealer and gloss finish. It can be used on the following surfaces: canvas, glass, ceramics, paper, paper mache, plastic, styrfoam, wood and metal.

Happy ST Patrick’s Day

Dear Fellow Crafters,

Happy ST Patrick’s Day!

May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day.

May songbirds serenade you every step along the way.

May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that’s always blue.

And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.
