Dear Fellow Crafters,
Well, we are in the heat of the summer now and I don’t mind telling you that anything I craft now has to have a light airy touch to it. So I was in for a great surprise when I found an article about using lace.
The look of lace with a black and white photo is amazing. The directions said to get a half-yard each of a variety of lace. Choose white frames in an array of sizes. Remove the cardboard insert from inside the frame to use as a template and cut lace two inches larger on all sizes. Trim colored paper to the size of the cardboard, then paste the paper to it using double stick tape. Place the lace on top of the insert(making sure that the pattern is straight) and wrap like a present, adhering to the back with tape. Mark where you want the photo(s) to sit and attach photo corners to the lace with archival scrapbook glue. Place photo inside the corners, put the cardboard back in the frame, hang and enjoy!
‘Til next time,
