Adventures in Card-Making

National Rose Month

Dear Fellow Crafters,

Did you know that June is National Rose Month? Roses have a long and colorful history. They have been symbols of love, beauty, war and politics. Roses were bred by our first President – hence the Rose Garden at the White House. They are grown in all 50 states. We find roses in art, music and literature. There are even celebrations that feature roses Valentine’s Day, weddings and even parades.

In 1986, President Ronald Reagan signed a resolution making the rose the national floral emblem. There is even a group dedicated to the rose called The American Rose Society. I’ll bet you have made card/crafts using a rose! Feel free to email your pics and I will include them on this post.

Happy Crafting with roses!
